Safety attire is a great way of insuring you stay safe and sound during the day or evening. There are many types of vests that will offer you the benefits of reflective properties to allow you to get through your day without undo harm. You will find there is a difference between ANSI Class compliant safe vests and non-compliant safe vests. This will often dictate the price, but then you have to ask yourself what your safe and healthy life means to you and your loved ones.
ANSI Class compliancy means that the safety attire meets the regulatory compliance for reflective and high visibility apparel. ANSI has three types of Class compliancy. Class I, Class II, or Class III. The higher the number, the more protection you get. Having the best means you will be more protected, and having non-compliant working apparel means that it may look like it protects, but it does not meet the standards set forth by ANSI. You can choose which is best for you, but those who know understand the importance of having ANSI compliancy with their working apparel.
For instance, there is a ANSI Class II mesh lime vest with silver reflective strips. This is going to be great and compliant with the regulations insuring you do indeed get the protection you need. These conform to the standards that guarantee you will be seen by others even in less than ideal situations. One thing to consider when purchasing this particular vest is that it can withstand up to 25 washings before it will need to be replaced. However, you do get ideal protection for those 25 washings.
There is a plain lime green vest that is a lime nylon mesh with black borders. This is obviously going to increase safety, but because it does not meet ANSI compliancy, these should be used sparingly. There is none of those reflective strips to help reflect oncoming lights, and while this is cheap, you will find it does not offer the same protection as the ANSI Class II lime reflective vest.
There are a good many vests to choose from on the market today. Many are going to be ANSI compliant and many are not. You will have to make the decision of what is best for your lifestyle and occupation before making a decision. Either will work depending on need, but one is going to be great for heavy-duty purposes.
Another benefit of this safety attire is that it comes in a variety of styles and colors. Orange, yellow, or green are all popular color choices for the basic vest. Then there is the reflective strips: some are metallic while others are just another color. The difference is evident when you get down to choosing the one style that will protect you longer and more thoroughly.
When it comes to the safety attire you choose, you will make the best decision for your lifestyle when you understand the differences between ANSI compliant and those others. When you demand more, when you demand the best, you can count on those reflective vests to promote your well being and healthy lifestyle.
